Jeffrey: I think there was a decision to reject

Brian: Luke is assigned to the custom elements, I will put myself on this too.

Luke: Maybe decline, seems trivial.

Yves: Xiaocheng might have an opinion on?

Discussed Apr 27, 2026 (See Github)

jyasskin: I see xiaochengh and I were going back and forth on theprivate thread - how are people feeling about this?

marcoscaceres:

xiochengh: I think that's ok, I was a bit nitpicking. Maybe we can say we discussed whether this should be a promise or a callback and here's what we decided.

jyasskin: sounds good, go ahead.

Hi @mustaqahmed, the TAG discussed it at a Breakout today and are happy to resolve this as satisfied.

We had a brief discussion on whether the use case is best with promises or callbacks according to the Design Principles (eg 1 and 2) but agreed that promises are good here.
